Netherlands board announces squad for next series of World Cup qualifying matches

In Oman, the Netherlands will take on the United Arab Emirates twice (on November 3 and 9) and play twice against the host country (on November 5 and 11). These matches are part of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2. The top four nations of this competition will be allowed to participate in a global World Cup qualifying tournament with 10 participants in 2027

The Royal Dutch Cricket Federation (KNCB) has announced the schedule and squad for matches in Oman. The matches will be played from November 1 to 16, with four of them being 50-over games and part of the 2027 World Cup qualification process.

In Oman, the Netherlands will take on the United Arab Emirates twice (on November 3 and 9) and play twice against the host country (on November 5 and 11). These matches are part of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2. The top four nations of this competition will be allowed to participate in a global World Cup qualifying tournament with 10 participants in 2027.

In addition, the Netherlands will play three T20I matches against host Oman, which count for the T20I world ranking.

National men’s coach Ryan Cook said, “Following the home series success in August it is important for us to keep the momentum going into the next WCL2 tour. Performances through the summer, both in the Netherlands and abroad have enabled us to pick a strong and well-balanced squad which we are confident will be able to play well against the opposition in the conditions in Oman.”
