Selangor wins Malaysia's domestic T20

Selangor defeated Perak in the final by 69 runs while host Kuala Lumpur beat Negeri Sembilan by six wickets to finish third in the MCA Senior T20 Inter-State 2023 tournament

Selangor won the Malaysia Cricket Association (MCA) T20 Inter-State tournament that ended in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya recently. As many as nine teams had participated in the tournament and Selangor were crowned after finishing on top of the rankings after the Super Six stage.

Selangor beat Perak by 69 runs in the final. They scored 188/7 in 20 overs with Syed Aziz Syed Mubarak scoring 83 off 51 balls while Ahmed Zubaidi Zulkifle made 41 off 24 balls. JM Chamod took 3/22. In reply Perak were bowled out for just 119 runs with Vijay Unni Suresh Unni taking 3/6 to return with best figures.

The third position went to Kuala Lumpur, who defeated Negeri Sembilan by six wickets in the third place play-off. 

Syed Aziz Syed Mubarak of Selangor was the top-scorer in the tournament with 318 runs while Rizwan Haider and Rahim Khan, both of Perak, were the top wicket-takers. Mubarak had a top-score of 149.
