The United States of America (USA) continue to lead the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 points table after the latest round of matches got completed in Dallas and Muscat.
They have 16 points in 12 matches and are followed by Canada on the same number of points (inferior net run rate). Netherlands follow the two teams on 14 points while Scotland and Oman complete the top five, with both having 14 points.
The competition comprises eight teams with the other teams being Namibia (10), Nepal (6), and United Arab Emirates (4). All teams except UAE have played 12 matches. UAE have played four games.
Canada are in second place
USA lost to Scotland by 10 wickets on October 25 in Dallas but defeated Nepal by three wickets two days later. They again lost to Scotland by 71 runs before beating Nepal by 37 runs.
Though Scotland beat USA, they lost to Nepal by five wickets. The second match between the two teams produced no result.
All the matches between USA, Scotland, and Nepal took place in Dallas.
At Al Amerat in Muscat, Oman won all four of their matches, defeating UAE by six wickets and four wickets respectively, and besting Netherlands by eight wickets and then by a slender margin of one run.
The UAE beat Netherlands by 26 runs in first of their duel and then lost to the Dutch by 67 runs.
The next round of matches take place in January. The competition ends in December, 2026, with the top four of the eight teams making to the 2027 Cricket World Cup Qualifier while the bottom four go to Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off.
