Uganda Cricket Association has announced that it is on the look-out for a Head Coach of its national cricket that qualified for the T20 World Cup next year
Uganda Cricket Association, fresh from witnessing the success of its cricket team in qualifying for next year’s T20 World Cup and winning the Africa Cricket Association T20 Cup, is looking for a head coach as it embarks on a journey to prepare the national cricket team for next year’s T20 World Cup.
The association has advertised for the post of the head coach on its Linked account.
“The Uganda Cricket Association, responsible for all cricket structures and programs in Uganda, has announced an opening for the role of Head Coach for the Cricket Cranes Men’s Team. This role encompasses leadership of all coaching programs for the Men’s team under Uganda Cricket,” said the statement posted on Linkedin.
“A fixed term position for a Head Coach for the Cricket Cranes Men’s Team is now available. The successful candidate will have the responsibility of ensuring that the Uganda Men’s Team achieves consistent success and reflects the spirit of Uganda,” it further stated.
“Additionally, the Head Coach must foster a high-performance environment to instill a culture of winning within the Uganda Men’s Team, aligning it with Ugandan values.”
The job entails preparation of performance and preparation plans, focused in winning ICC events.
The incumbent should “Develop a strategic performance plan focused on winning ICC events”.
It is very clear that the association is making an attempt to win an ICC event in future.
